8/7/2012- Obama cries foul over Romney’s wealth…at a $35,000/plate fundraiser

I’m not sure about you, but anyone who can afford to pay $35,000 for a meal is wealthy.  This double-speak- Romney is an out of touch millionare…give me $35,000 for a meal- is typical of the progressive left.  Attack the wealthy in the name of fairness for the poor and middle-class.  Wake up and smell the coffee, people, Obama is wealthy, all of his friends are wealthy, and they eat and live wealthy life-styles.  They’re not in the game for you, they are in the game for power, and the more they can shift wealth from the have’s to the have-nots, the more power they gain (ala any socialist government where all the wealth is with the governing class while the peasants are grateful for a pot of porridge).

8/6/2012- Obama’s lawsuit against Ohio a red herring

The term “absentee voter” is meant to include anyone who votes prior to the day of the election (early voting).  This includes those who live in Ohio, those who are outside the state of Ohio- which encompasses uniformed service men and women and citizens living overseas- or citizens of Ohio living in another state.  The Obama argument seems to be stating that these absentee voters residing outside the state have until 7:30pm on the day of the election to cast their ballots, whereas residents living inside the state have only till 6pm on Friday before election day to cast their absentee votes.  The argument continues that during those three days- Saturday, Sunday, and Monday- a significant number of Democrat voters voted in the 2008 election indicating that those three days are critical to the Democrat candidates, and that by not allowing them to vote during those three days is an unequal application of the law.

Not admitted in the complaint is the fact that anyone living inside the state of Ohio is eligible to cast his or her absentee ballot up to 35 days prior to election day, and may do so from the comforts of his or her own living room.  While it is true that in-person absentee voting (early voting) must be done by 6pm on Friday before Election Day, anyone can circumvent this requirement.  All the voter has to do is order an absentee ballot (no reason is required), fill in the ballot, and mail it back to the election board.  According to the Voter Information Guide published by the Secretary of State, “The return envelope containing your marked ballot must either be received by the board of elections prior to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, or postmarked no later than the day before the election and received by the board of elections no later than 10 days after that election.”  Perhaps Obama’s money is better spent in getting out the “vote from home” message.  Surely his boots on the ground can assist the alleged disenfranchised Democrat demographic in getting absentee ballots by mail.

Also, consider the absurdity of the complaint that Uniformed and Overseas Citizens get a special pass by getting three extra days to vote prior to Election Day.  They fall into two categories: Uniformed (military) or Overseas.  If the voter is overseas, he or she is not going to show up for voting during those three days anyway.  In my opinion, the Obama suit is a red herring, and knowing the penchant for Alexrod to be deceitful and cunning, the suit is designed to somehow disenfranchise the military and overseas citizen.

Keep an eye on this one…it certainly meets the “smells fishy” test.
